Our HOA, Amherst Homeowners' Association has been in existence since 1998. We strive to keep our neighborhood safe and attractive, as well as friendly and welcoming. Our dues are $50.00 annually and are due by the 31st of January each year. We have regular community meetings at the Chester library off of Harrowgate Road during the cold months and during the warm months, host the meetings within our neighborhood. All residents are welcome. We encourage everybody to come and present any ideas and suggestions they may have. Who provides recycling services? Our curbside recycling pick-up days are every other Monday, beginning on Monday, January 4th, 2010. If you need a recycling bin, please call (804)340-0900. You can also visit www.cvwma.com to read more about the program online. Who provides water and sewage ? Our water and sewer services are through the Chesterfield County Utilities Department. The billing is charged bimonthly. Their number to contact them for billing questions is: (804)748-1291. They are located in the rear of the Chesterfield County Government Complex, which is on Iron Bridge Road(Route 10). The number for water/sewage emergencies is: (804)768-0140. Who provides electrical power? Our electrical services are provided by Dominion Virginia Power. Their contact number is: 1-888-667-3000. Columbia Gas of Virginia manages the gas lines in our neighborhood and would be more than happy to come out and assist you with hooking up gas at your residence. They can be reached at 1-800-543-8911 and for gas emergencies, please call 1-800-544-5606 24/7 for immediate help. There are a number of trash removal services in our area. Right now the majority of your homeowners are using County waste as their trash disposal service of choice. Who to call for any problems with street lights? Call Dominion Virginia Power at (888) 667-3000. We are constantly patrolled by the Chesterfield County Police Department as well as by some of our dedicated residents through our extensive Neighborhood Watch program.
